Meet the people inside your books.
Bookifai reads along with you. It finds the cast, lets you talk with them, posts their stories and recaps where you left off. It never spoils a page you haven’t turned.

Chapters become scenes. Lizzy, Eliza and Miss Bennet become one Elizabeth. Every chapter gets a summary, every character a backstory.

Meet the cast
Each character gets a chat of their own. Before long, someone will message you first.

Talk to Elizabeth.
She won’t spoil a thing.
Every character lives at your page. They remember what they've been through, they want things from the scene you're in, and they have no idea how the book ends. Unless you've already read it.
Drag through Pride and Prejudice and ask Elizabeth the same question. Her answer can only use what has happened up to your page.
The cast keeps living between your chapters.
As the plot moves, characters post stories: gossip, boasts, worries, all in their own voice and all from where you are in the book. Reply to one and it becomes a conversation.
A reader that knows when to get out of the way.
Everything clever happens around the page, never on top of it. When you just want to read, it's a beautiful, quiet book.
Flip, slide or scroll
Turn pages like paper, slide through them, or scroll. Three reading modes, one tap apart.
Light, sepia or dark
Themes built for long sessions, from a bright afternoon to reading in bed.
Tap any word
Definitions from Wiktionary, downloaded once and there even on a plane.
Highlights & notes
Mark passages in colour, attach a thought, find them all in one place.
Bookmarks that recap
Each bookmark carries a short recap of the story up to that point.
Your type, your way
Pick the font, text size and line spacing that suit your eyes. Bookifai remembers them.
Put a book down for a month.
Pick it up mid-sentence.
Every bookmark comes with a recap of the story so far, gathered across your whole library. And the hard words from each book become a study list you can export.
“Where was I?”
The Recaps tab gathers bookmarks from every book, each with a few lines on what had happened by then. No re-reading required.
Every word you stumbled on
Bookifai pulls a book’s hardest words into an A–Z list with definitions. Search it, study it, export it as a PDF.
Small things, done with care.
Abridged editions
Make a shorter edition that keeps the book's voice, viewpoint and chapters. Choose how much to keep; it's saved as its own EPUB in your library.
Nudges from the cast
A gentle notification when a character posts a story or messages you first.
Private by design
Your library, chats and notes live on your device, in a space of their own for each account. Nothing crosses over when someone else signs in.
Backed up to your Drive
Reading positions, highlights and favourites can be backed up to your own Google Drive and restored on a new phone.
Light and dark
The whole app follows your device's appearance, or pick one and keep it.
Which books can I use?
Any EPUB you have: public-domain classics, new favourites, your own manuscripts. Your books stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
Will the characters spoil the ending?
No. Characters only know what has happened up to the page you're on. Read further and they catch up; they never get ahead of you.
Where is my library kept?
On your device. Each account gets its own private space for books, chats and notes. If you like, reading positions, highlights and favourites can be backed up to your own Google Drive.
Do I need a connection to look up words?
Only once, to download a dictionary. After that, lookups work offline. Dictionaries come from Wiktionary.
